أسس مسرح الشمس فضاءً فنيّاً ثقافياً، في قلب العاصمة الأردنية عمّان، مشروعاً ريادياً مسجلاً حسب الأصول تحت رقم (209170) بتاريخ 18/5/2016، هدفه المساهمة في تطوير مسيرة الثقافة والفن في الأردن التي تعاني من الإهمال والتعثر، وتقديم المساعدة للفنانين والمبدعين عموماً وخاصة الشباب منهم، بتوفير مكان لتدريباتهم ولعروضهم الفنية ونشاطاتهم الثقافية، ومساعدتهم بخبرات المختصين، والأخذ بيدهم باتجاه صقل مواهبهم وتطوير انشغالاتهم الابداعية. تم تأسيسه بجهود فردية بحته، وعلى كلفة المؤسس الشخصية كمؤسسة غير ربحية، ليكون أول مسرح ريبورتوار في الأردن يقدّم برنامجاً دائماً من العروض المسرحية والموسيقية على خشبته، قائم على احترام القيم الثقافية والاستناد عليها، وفي الوقت نفسه دمج جوانب مُعاصرة ومُبتكرة، من خلال إنشاء أشكال جديدة للتعابير الإبداعية والفنية محلياً ومحاكاة قضايا المجتمع من خلال خشبة المسرح التي تقدم شتى أشكال الفنون، من العروض المسرحية والموسيقية وورش العمل لبناء القدرات الشبابية الابداعية وتعزيز مهاراتهم الحياتية بطريقة حيوية وملهمة والمشاركة في الجهود والأنشطة الإبداعية والفنية مع الاخرين في القطاع، للمساهمة في تطوير مهارات الفتيات والفتيان لمعالجة القضايا الإجتماعية بأسلوب إبداعي و فعّال ضمن مجتمعاتهم المحليّة من خلال الفن. ما يميز مسرح الشمس هو إنتاج مجموعة من الأعمال المسرحية تعرض بشكل دوري ضمن برنامج دائم تحت اسم “ريبورتوار مسرح الشمس” وهو نظام عالمي لم يسبق أن اعتمدته دور الفن في الأردن ، يهدف المسرح إلى التأثير في جذب الجمهور للمسرح ودمجه في المشهد الثقافي من خلال تأهيل أجيال جديدة من العروض المسرحية الاحترافية ، والتعاون مع المسارح العربية والدولية لتأسيس علاقات تبادلية لرفد الساحة الفنية بعروض متنوعة.

Al – Shams Theater was inaugurated on November 2017, as an art space that showcases art in all its forms with a diverse work program that harnesses the power of performance, cultivates intellectual curiosity, and stimulates learning to make the arts accessible to all. Al Shams Theatre is an art space, established purely by the individual efforts of its founder, at his personal financial cost as a non-for profit institution as the first repertoire theater in Jordan. The name “Al Shams” is inspired by the French artist Ariane Mnouchkine’s Théâtre du Soleil. Al Shams cooperates with local, Arab and international artistic groups to dedicate theater as a cultural safe space that includes performing arts and young talents and is interested in developing the art movement in Jordan. To refine and develop the artistic talents and capabilities of youth, Al Shams has developed special programs through holding training workshops, art exhibitions, group meetings and anything in the field of arts. The theater has the possibility to hold art exhibitions, drawings, sculptures, and other artworks. Theater occupied a privileged position in the heart of Amman, Jordan, where the “Concorde” cinema was previously restructuring. And those in charge of this edifice seek to keep up with every update and opportunities that develops and increases its effectiveness, to achieve all the goals for which it was established and strive to achieve them, to make the Shams theater a mirror that reflects all kinds of arts and displays it to the public.
